35 Weeks M2

35 weeks and definitely feeling pregnant. Monday night I had contractions every 3 minutes so we had a trial run to the hospital. Baby sounded great but I guess the stress (harry being sick, will explain below) and bending over 100 times a day, running the stairs, laundry, chasing Harry, Gymboree, Parents as Teachers Play Center all started to get to the baby. I am on modified bed rest just to keep this baby in for at least 2 more weeks. I am not dilated but they will check me again on Friday. Modified Bed Rest=driving me crazy. I want to clean everything, and my to do list is still a mile long, I have definitely put everything off until the last minute-whoops! I did get the car seat cleaned on Sunday and have put the padding in for baby, so I was able to get that finished before Monday evening's event.

Also, last weeks doctor appointment baby was weighing 5 lbs 14 oz.

As for Harry, he got very sick last week with a cold. The cold then turned into a double ear infection and pneumonia in his right lung. Poor kid had a rough 72 hours. He is FINALLY starting to act like himself again. It was a rough couple of days and nights, but I think and hope this is all past us. These little kids are just filled with germs, so now I have a little cold as well. Im hoping the spring weather will bring health into the Martin family household!!!

18 month stats

Harry had his 18 month check up this morning. He lost a pound since the last sick doctor visit. He was such a trooper today too, he kept telling the doctor "thank you thank you" and she was eating it up. He loves his pediatrician, which makes it a fun trip to the doctor.


Weight: 23.4 lbs 20th percentile
Height: 31.4 inches tall 25th percentile
Head Circumference still in the 10th percentile

34 Weeks M2

Looks like I forgot 33 week photo. Here is my 34 week belly-not sure how it can get any bigger?!?!?!??

Im starting to feel very uncomfortable by the end of the day, after 3PM I like to be on the couch resting-which is quite impossible if I have Harry. My braxton hicks are out of control and I think chasing Harry around and playing all day is not helping. 

Im still sleeping well at night as long as Harry sleeps at night. He has another cold, so was up last night coughing-poor little guy. Im hoping with this nice warm weather coming through, that he will start feeling better.

I will post baby updates after Friday's appointment.

I Heart

Harry's new found passion-TENNIS!!! He will go and play at the park but only wants to for a few minutes then he likes to play tennis on the tennis courts. He is just like his Dad.

MayMay taught him how to "close his eyes" ........well almost.

Cheese-I love grapes! He could seriously eat grapes all day everyday, as well as blueberries.

I heart this little man who is 18 months old, and this is my absolute favorite age! I know, I know each day gets better. He helps me throughout the day make the bed, put away laundry, load the dishwasher-he just loves little tasks, simple as shutting the fridge door. He is just so funny. He is talking so much now and I love every little word he says. Wednesday is his 18 month check-up and stats. Last ped appt before he becomes a big brother!

M2-As for the baby, it seems to have turned breech again!!!! Seriously energetic little bugger. Lets hope at this weeks Friday appointment baby will have flipped to head down again, and stay that way. I think we will putting an induction date on the calendar this Friday for either March 30th or April 4th, so we will soon know if we will have a March or April birthday!!!!

Family!!!!

Thank you so much to my wonderful family for taking time this weekend to help me start the baby nursery. I just have no motivation and Scott's work has been so busy lately. Scott and Bampa started on Saturday but then grew tired and faded quickly-so Parker, MayMay and Sasa (Melissa) all came to the rescue. So here is the beginning stages of the nursery. The closet has been partially cleaned out and the furniture is all in its place. Now, I need to get the baby clothes from the basement, hang the drapes, batteries for the swing, etc etc etc....... and decide on a wall decal for boy/girl. Lots of "to-do" lists around here. Baby will be here in 50 days! SOOOOOOO excited. Last weeks sonogram showed the baby did turn head down, whew! I will have my next growth scan on February 24th to see what the baby weighs.

Harry is getting excited too, we read ALL about becoming a big brother and talk about the new baby daily. I think he is going to be the best big brother.

32 weeks M2

Here are a few belly shots 32 weeks. IM getting less and less comfortable, and at about 3 PM everyday I have to put my feet up from all the braxton hicks-whew! Getting bigger by the day makes daily tasks more difficult.

Baby updates: last week at the sonogram baby was "frank breech" and had totally turned since the week before. I am hoping by this Friday the baby will have already turned back to head down. Everything looked great otherwise.

As for Harry, he got to go to the golf course for the first time with Bampa, he loved it. He loves tennis, basketball, golf, soccer, pretty much anything that has to do with balls. His new recent love is his duck call. He finally figured out how to use it and runs around the house with it. He will be 18 months old on Tuesday- our little Valentine. 

Feb and still no nursery

Ok so today Im 31 weeks and I still cannot get myself to start the nursery. Here is a picture of what we are working with.

This is Harry's play room for now until furniture arrives. We did order the crib and dresser, so a step in the right direction. My 31 week bump shot is below.

Last week at our growth scan baby was weighing 3 lbs and 13 oz, and that was a week ago-whew this baby is growing fast. Heat rate was 131 and baby was moving like a rock star-had tons of energy (just like harry).

Every night I have braxton hicks and feel like the only thing I can do is lay down, I get so tired these days. I forgot how tiring it is to have such a HUGE belly! Harry has been keeping me super busy as well. Im enjoying every second of our family of 3, because two months from Saturday I will definitely have a newborn in my arms and we will be a family of 4. My doctor will not let me go past my due date. Hopefully in the next post I will have made some progress on the baby room. Until then, off to play with cars, balls and trucks!
