34th week of pregnancy

I visited the doctor yesterday morning and the little bambino is getting bigger everyday! After the growth scan, the sonographer calculated the baby's weight at 5.1 lbs. Woo hoo, growing like a weed. The heart beat with the doctor was in the 160's but in the sonogram was in the 140's, so it all over the place. The baby passed with flying colors the stress test and the sonogram, which helped me sleep last night. I have just started getting uncomfortable in the humidity. I have noticed my stomach completely tightens up if I am in the heat, so I have been staying in the air conditioning except in the early morning and late evenings and this has helped. Overall the check up went great, and we are getting so excited for the baby to arrive. Tomorrow afternoon the glider will be delivered-they are for real this time! So this weekend we will hopefully get in the nursery and finish a few items. I will post pictures next week!

1 Year Anniversary

Last Sunday we celebrated our one year anniversary. It was a nice relaxing day of church and house chores with a nice carry out dinner and a movie. I got Scott the flip video camera so we can video when the baby arrives. I just figured out how to upload videos to the blog-so hopefully I will have a nice video of the completed nursery in a few short weeks. I am still waiting on our glider and have not finished hanging things on the walls yet.

Grace came for a quick visit on her way back to B-ham, so below you will find a gender prediction video. It was so fun having her here. She helped me out putting the baby swing together and a trip to Babies RUs. It's always fun having house guests in our new home.

As for today, I did my first load of baby laundry, so I am feeling a bit more organized. I know once the baby arrives the laundry will be never ending, so might as well try and get a head start.

Although, I am not going to lie. I am a little worried about our baby ever fitting into 0-3 month onesies. They are SOOOOOO tiny. Im going to definitely bring a few clothing options for the baby to wear home from the hospital, just in case.

Wisconsin Wedding

We made it to Plum Lake a few weekends ago and attended a fabulous wedding. Here are a few pictures from the wedding. Although it rained and was cloudy the entire trip we were still able to take in the fun Plum Lake atmosphere.

This was the only time we saw the sun. It was for about 10 minutes of a sunset. 

Overall the trip was fun, but I will never travel that far in a car again at 32 weeks pregnant. There was way too stops for my small bladder. Although it was worth it....I was not about to miss a summer at Plum Lake, I have never missed one!

Baby Shower!!!

All of my closest girlfriends hosted me the most fabulous baby shower. All the decorations, the fun gifts, the diaper cake, the game and of course the food and delicious dessert cookies was so over the top fabulous!!! I have to say thank you yet again, I was so impressed with every little detail. Everything was yellow and gray themed to match my nursery, I loved it!!! Here are just a few photos.

I got everything I needed, including the pack n play, breast pump, high chair, bottles, tons of books, and so much more! I am so blessed to have such great friends and a special thanks to my sister for all her organizing! Please come by and see the nursery anytime!

This and That...

So we just got back from our doctor appointment and now that I am 31 weeks the doctor would like to see me once a week for a biophysical profile due to my factor five blood clotting disorder. Not a big deal, this is just routine with patients like me. So today we had our first one and it is simply a sonogram and an intense look at the fetal heart rate. Everything looked great! The sonographer said we have a VERY healthy baby, weighing in at 4 pounds already, can you believe it! Baby beeber was moving and grooving the entire time, and the sonographer said the more movement the healthier the baby. The heart rate was 156 and the baby seems very comfy in there. Overall I have been feeling great, so I think we are going to try and make the trip up to Plum Lake this weekend for a friend's wedding. We are also going to celebrate our anniversary a weekend early, which will be nice.

Instead of scanning in some sono pictures, I instead took a few pics of other happenings lately. Such as we went to the Royals game and had 3 row seats, although the weather was a little hot and muggy for preggers, we still stuck it out and had a great night with the fam.

Also, I have done a little updating around the house as I have been nesting. Here is the back hall before you go out into the garage. Below is a shower gift from my Mom which is the recipe for a happy marriage- LOVE it!

I got some new bedding for the master bedroom and a few monogrammed pillows. 

And I finally framed our wedding invitation.

Summa Summa Time

So school is officially out and I do not go back to work until November 1st, wow this is awesome! Best feeling ever this morning to get up and clean the kitchen and run the dish washer, and then put away some laundry, and finally updating the blog. Things have just been crazy busy around here. May May and Bampa are leaving for the summer next week so I have been using their help on the house and the nursery every second they are willing. I am so grateful for everyone's help, especially Melissa who is the queen of finding things. Such as these yellow baskets for the changing table. I have a before (above) and after (below) picture.

Here is a picture of the new bumper Melissa found to match my bed skirt and a picture of where the glider will go. It is being delivered on Monday!

This past weekend we had fun with friends and family. It was great to have Scott around for a 3 day weekend. Yesterday we had a little BBQ and JScott and Sarah were in town. We had a blast!!!

Sarah also decided to give us a few baby gifts because she will not be at the shower :( LOVE this hat, her Aunt made us, it is a little pumpkin .

Also, she gave us this nifty little forward backward device to put the baby in. We are super pumped to use it!
