Seeing as it is Ash Wednesday, and the next 40 days and 40 nights are lent-I thought it would be the perfect day to write a post about blessings from God. Also, I might add-I am giving up Facebook during the week for lent (Monday-Friday). This is a big deal for me, it is the biggest waste of my time! I notice how much time I am on there, and I could be using my time WAY more efficiently. So instead of using Facebook during the week, I am going to try and devote my time more to God and my family. Yes, I can use it on the weekends-so I can see recent engagements, baby announcements and wedding pictures. That is all I really like to use it for....
Okay, so back to God.....Last night laying in bed, I thought to myself of how many people I know who have children. I thought of people in my life, close to me. I thought of over 30 people! Can you believe that? All of these people have had kids in the last 1-2 years. Man, that is a lot of people. I guess it is that time in my life. First engagements, then weddings and now BABIES!!!!
Pretty amazing to think, all these women have carried a child inside and have experienced child birth. Not only to experience pregnancy and child birth, but to also experience being a Mother. It is the hardest thing I have ever done, and MOST rewarding thing in the world.
After realizing how many people I know with children, I thought about how amazing it is that they are healthy. Healthy little human beings. It is amazing what little blessings children are, and how awesome it is to experience Motherhood.
Ever since I started a blog, I have been following a lot of my friends blogs and friends of friends blogs. Today, I read a blog I have been following for quite sometime, and even though I do not know her-I was still was brought to tears with today's post.
In this Wonderful Life blog has experienced a lot of ups and downs, please take a look and read todays post, and
Cohens story. It just really made me think about how God works in mysterious ways.
I hope that during these next 40 days and 40 nights, I can see what God wants for me in this life. What are you giving up for lent?
