Blog Update

So I tried to update my blog and it just did not turn out the way I wanted it to and everytime I try to redo it, Harry wants to be changed or fed, so it will just have to wait. A little Martin family update-Scott's grandfather died of a sudden heart attack last Friday. Keith was 89 years old but young at heart and worked every day of his life until he passed away. He had an amazing obituary in the newspaper the other day-very touching. His wife Hulda is doing well but she misses her man-they were married 68 years!!! Can you believe it! Harry never got to meet Keith, he was going to come over last weekend but was not feeling up to it. He did get to see a picture of him and we were able to chat with him a few days before he passed. We are really going to miss him and our Sunday brunches at Santa Marta. This Friday is his memorial.


On a happier note... Friday, Harry will get to meet his Grandmother Dorian who will be coming in to town from Florida. Saturday Melissa is induced and Sunday Harry is being baptized-whew its going to be a crazy family weekend! I will definitely post tons of pictures. Say your prayers for an easy, safe and healthy delivery for Melissa.

Meeting Seamus

The Roots came by for a visit and Harry met his friend Seamus!

Here are Harry's precious feet, they will never be this small again. I am getting sad just seeing how fast he is growing up! I am enjoying every single second with him and cannot wait for Melissa and Parker to have their baby, and Harry will have a cousin and I will be an Aunt!!! A week from Saturday!

10 days old

We went for our first walk this morning and Harry loved it. Also, he had his first sponge bath and was very happy to be so clean! Abby and Brian came by for a visit as well.

1 week old

I cannot believe Harry is already 8 days old! He was inside me for so long-it is still so crazy to me that he is finally here. We are enjoying every second with him. He has been such a good baby-giving Mommy lots of sleep at night and being a great eater! We will go back to the doctor on Thursday to see how much he weighs. Harrison Tully Martin born August 14th, 2010 at 7:51 PM weighing 7lbs 3 oz and 18 inches long. We are truly blessed with this guy. He is just precious and we cannot wait for everyone to meet him. PS His name is my maiden name and Scott's Grandmother's maiden name. As you can tell he was already hungry to eat!

got the epidural and now rebecca is 4cm, will keep ya posted!!!!

baby update

This is scott - we checked into the hospital at 7:30am.  Rebecca is 1+ cm dilated and 50% effaced.  Doc broke water at 10am and said baby is coming after dinner tonight and before breakfast tomorrow.  To speed up the process, we were thinking about eating dinner today at noon.  We'll keep you posted.

Nursery all ready

40th Week

Just got home from the doctor's office and everything looks great. The baby is happy and healthy in there and not ready to come out at all. Cervix is still closed. I will go in Sunday night at 8PM to get the cervidil to help open the cervix. Then early Monday morning they will start the pitocin drip if still no baby. Say some prayers for us. We will keep everyone posted as soon as something happens.

I cannot wait to post pics on here of our little one!

39th Week

Just got back from the doctor and still no progress-cervix is closed. Although I have been having a lot of random contractions, not enough to actually time them though. Hopefully something will happen soon, but Im not holding my breath. Just staying cool inside, and in 12 days my life will change forever-SO excited!!!
